Metalliromut.fi specializes in the collection and recycling of scrap metal throughout Finland. We collect your scrap metal for recycling and we pay you! We pick up scrap metal and sort it for further processing and/or disposal. Recycling materials and utilizing them as much as possible saves nature and natural resources and also significantly reduces the carbon footprint of business operations.
We have valid environmental permits and are included in the ELY center’s waste management register.

Evert laughs and says that he has been in the industry all his life. He speaks fluent Finnish, Estonian and Russian. “My friend started picking up scrap metal from Sweden. I watched the works and I thought, could I also provide similar service in Finland?”, Evert remembers the early days.
He decided to give it a try and set off with a trailer to Finland on a search trip for scrap metal. “At that time, companies were happy as long as someone picked up the scraps,” Evert said. At first, he helped car repair shops get rid of their scraps, sorted them and sold them on.
The job was so nice that Evert knew he had found “his thing”. The work became more professional and the trailer was always changed to a larger version. Nowadays, Evert’s working days are spent in a 20-meter truck. Scraps are also no longer only collected, but are also paid for by weight.
The field is also regulated by more specific legislation, which should have been carefully studied. In Evert’s opinion, the best thing about the job are the customers and the fact that you can schedule your work day yourself. “I enjoy being on the road and it’s always great to meet customers and chat”, Evert sums up. Customers have become friends over the years and a good reputation has spread.
A large part of the new customers have come from the recommendations of an old customer.
Repair shops value carelessness and easy recycling of scrap metal, which also puts money into circulation for the company! Evert is already known in many car repair shops as a fair and nice partner with whom things are handled as agreed.
